The main hall of the Pompidou Center provides access to all parts of the museum, and can also be privatized. The signage had to be both modular and highly visible.
We worked on very large signs dedicated to each of the museum’s spaces or services. These LED signs could be turned on and off depending on the schedule of the day. We kept the Din font to respect the visual identity already in place. The words were declined according to the building’s four colors: red was associated with temporary exhibition spaces, yellow with cinemas, and blue with museums. We used white for secondary information (ticket office, cloakroom, restrooms, bookstore, etc.).
