Created in 2016, School W trains young people in content and digital creation, all the while trying to meet the expectations of a fast-changing sector. The school is located in a 20,450 square-foot industrial building and is designed to be used as a coworking space. There are around ten startups in residence, including a TV studio, a radio studio, a Fablab, and a newsroom.
We proposed a scalable signage system to meet the modularity requirements of the space. White forex blades were inserted into black lacquered aluminum frames. These elements were included to echo the black steel and white brick that make the industrial identity of the building. A range of bright colors now indicate the different levels.
