The exhibition “The Marais and its Legacy” was put together to highlight Parisian personalities of today and yesterday who, since André Malraux, have contributed to giving the architecture and heritage of Le Marais, the famous Paris neighborhood, an innovative impetus.
Our inspiration came from the graphic universe of the maps and plans that are everywhere in the museum’s collections. We created a system of boxes in which the exhibition texts came to life. Enlargements of images, projects, fragments or models, plunged the visitor into the heart of the Marais, with the hope to encourage them to walk around the neighborhood after the exhibition.
Several Parisians, collectors in particular, participated in the event by lending items.
